Even when they perform well, they feel like they are not truly as capable as others believe.

Maybe I just got lucky.
Maybe I will not be able to repeat this success.
Maybe others are actually smarter than me.
This experience is sometimes called imposter feelings.
It often happens to students who care deeply about doing well.
Because they hold high standards for themselves, they focus more on their perceived weaknesses than their strengths.
Self doubt does not mean you lack ability.
It often means you are aware of how much there is still to learn.
Confidence grows slowly through experience and self acceptance.
